Just that there's a threat of widespread violence if Trump loses is a good enough reason not to vote for him, by Hal M. Brown, MSW

Win or lose, how many Americans would fight for Trump wearing this version of the SS hat insignia?

A Google News search (here) for "Threats of widespread violence if Trump loses" comes up with numerous articles about this. These articles go back to April and May. This, for example, was in Reuters:

In April Trump said  'it depends' if there will be violence if he loses 2024 election to Biden (article).

The mere fact that there is a prevalent belief that if Trump loses his supporters will resort to violence, and that Trump when asked about it says "it depends" should be enough of a reason that any still undecided voter should vote for Kamala Harris.

They can put aside all of the other reasons not to vote for him and make their decision based on this one fact.

If he loses and there are indications that a large number of his supporters are even considering acting violently shows that they have a fascist mindset. If, as is being reported, the race is a dead heat, this means that the country is poised to vote for someone who if elected will have a large number of followers who were willing to engage in violence had he not won.

These aren't people willing to take up arms like the Patroits did during the War for Independence to defend American democracy. These people fought, risked, and lost their lives to defend an ideal. The people who say they will resort to violence if Trump losing are saying they will fight out of loyalty to a person rather than to an ideal.

When you listen to many ordinary Trump supporters at rallies or on TV panels when asked why they are planning to vote for Trump it stands out how many of them admire him as a kind of strongman. They may not use this word, although I've heard some laud him for being strong, but it seems clear they see him as he sees himself. They don't see the outlandish cartoon figure we observe in the depictions from his digital trading cards as ridiculous. They imagine him as the figure in the frequently flown flag with Trump as a Rambo.

They see him as a kind of Captain America  (oddly standing in a wrestling rink) who has supernatural strength which is shown in the digital trading card below.

This is the fascistic blueprint employed by all despots who rose to power and stayed in power by portraying themselves as the one and only person who, through the exercise of unique power and abilities only they possess, can save the nation.

They see him as the kung fu master I used Perchance Photo AI to depict in yesterday's blog "Trump is a delusional unhinged sadist living in a phallocentric manosphere."

Of course they don't see him as the elderly obsese man dishing out fries at a McDonald's.
They don't see the man who claims to be a great golfer looking like this:

They don't see how pathetic he looked when he tried to heave himself into a garbage truck. (Fashion note: the orange vest with the horizontal line makes him look even fatter.)
I wonder if he stayed in physical shape the way Putin, who has dabbled in the martial arts (how good he is remains controversial) seems to have done if he'd be less inclined to overcompensate with his bellicose language and promoting wishful thinking images of himself.

Like Trump, many of his supporters, almost all of them male, live in his phallocentric manosphere. They have both his permission and his encouragement to join violent protests.  Trump wants them to know they have the ability to join with others of their ilk to overthrow a free election should he lose. Jan. 6th was a failed rehearsal. This time he has plans in place, including those involving Mike Johnson, to effect a coup.

Whether it is thousands or millions, we know there are numerous supporters who are ready to follow his marching orders if he loses. If he wins they may join the new Trump SS (see illustration on the top of the blog) to hunt down, detain, and deport or imprison those he has been demonizing ever since he rode down that infamous golden escalator.

Others might join Trump's version of the Gestapo, the secret police who didn't wear uniforms when they did their dirty work.

He might also have his version of the SA, sometimes referred to as Storm Troopers or Brownshirts.  This was the original paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party, whose violent tactics played a huge role in Hitler’s rise to power in Germany. Before establishing the SA as a paramilitary wing, it was known as a ‘sports division’ in the party to avoid suspicion. (Reference)

Anyone thinking of voting for Trump who wants to  prevent America from turning into a fascist county needs to understand all of this.

Update: I really should have to comment on this.

At a rally in Pennsylvania, the former president pointed out the spots where he was protected by bulletproof glass before adding that reporters ––whom he referred to as the "fake news" –– were in the line of fire if an assassin took a shot at him.

He told his MAGA fans, "And to get me, somebody would have to shoot through the fake news, and I don't mind that so much. I don't mind, I don't mind that."
