On top of this, what if Biden and Harris could get Mexico to help pay for the wall?
It there's one more thing that Biden can achieve through diplomacy before the election that would cause Trump to blow a gasket and undermine one of his major talking points it would be to achieve a major solution to the border crisis. This doesn't mean he would actually get Mexico to pay for building the wall although if he could get them to go halfsies on improving the wall it would be compelling optics. He could also sign a major agreement on working to solve the in-country problems that lead people to want to leave. This is where all or most of the immigrants come from.
If Biden could complete a significant accomplishment to remedy the border crisis it would take take some of the hot air out of Trump's rant about how Kamala Harris, the so-called Border Czar, wants open borders to let in the worst of the worst it would do a lot to knock some of the pins out from under him.
As great a political one-two punch as this would be, I don't know if it is possible. It might depend on how afraid the countries involved are of a Trump presidency. If the leaders of Mexico and some of the top countires whose citizens are trying to cross our border believe that they will fare better under a President Harris than a President Trump they might be incentivized to ink a deal before our election.
