“Three male narco-terrorists were aboard the vessel during the strike, which was conducted in international waters. All three terrorists were killed, and no U.S. forces were harmed in this strike.”
My hunch about the so-called “intelligence” is that there was nothing involved in this that could remotely be called spy work (or spywork). This would mean the use of actual spies, spies as in secret agents, to identify who the people on the boats are. Are they no more than foot soldiers (really sailors) for actual drug bosses. By all credible reports they are poor fishermen in seaside villages trying to make money by driving these speedboats which, for the sake of argument, may be carrying drugs. Real spy work would involve sending real operatives into the the country, presumably Venezuela, to track down the actual leaders of the cartels and capture or if needed kill them.
This would risk the actual lives of Americans. Instead, our spy hunters safely bomb boats and commit murder. Last I heard murder is a more serious crime than drug smuggling.
Of course, there is method to the murderous madness. Trump loves it because it is another way he can look powerful. Holy shit, now he is threatning Nigeria with war:
Guns-a-blazing and bombs-a-bursting, Viagra-words for wearing a downward pointing flashing red arrow around his neck with letters saying “look at my marvelous magnificent manhood.” Stormy Daniels might add “mushroom.”
I posted this image yesterday in a footnote, but wanted to use it again. It is not remotely amusing because that red-tie compensation for Trump kills and brutalizes people. We are being ruled by a man who is a psychopathology textbook on what makes a man a sadist with a cadre of enabling henchmen and women. The men are deeply insecure about their masculinity and women, Freud, in his now very controversial and mostly discredited work on the psychology of woman, might conclude they had “penis envy.”
No matter the underlying psychodynamics, women like Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi have demonstrated that men do not have a monopoly on lack of empathy and sadism.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, or in Trump’s case, back at Mar-a-Lago, we had a Roaring Twenties Halloween party so Trump could stick his short fingers into the eyes of everyone who can no longer get food stamps.
