Does Trump even know he's pronouncing Kamala's name "Commie-la?". By Hal Brown, MSW

Here's an excerpt:

Donald Trump has been using an ugly word to describe Vice President Kamala Harris. No, I don’t mean privately calling her the B-word, although he reportedly does. I mean “communist,” an insult echoed by some of his allies. For example, Elon Musk, in a post on X, declared “Kamala is quite literally a communist,” demonstrating, among other things, that he quite literally doesn’t know the meaning of “literally.”

Krugman concludes:

Trump and MAGA seem to be responding by throwing lots of stuff at the wall and hoping some of it sticks.

However, the kind of character attacks that worked against Hillary Clinton and, in a different way, against Biden don’t seem to be gaining traction. I almost felt sorry for the Fox News host Jesse Watters, who tried to attack Harris by saying: “She likes wine. She likes food. She likes to dance.” This is supposed to make voters dislike her?

So since nothing else seems to be working, hey, why not call her a communist?

You can read a summary of the NYT article here in RawStory. While Krugman doesn't refer to how Trump mispronounced Kamala's name, author of the RawStory article put it together:

Krugman then shares his personal view that Trump's Commie-la attacks show just how much President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election has rattled him.

I am not certain Trump is doing this on purpose. He doesn't put enough emphasis on the "commie" part of her name to make sure his supporters figure out that he wants to say that she's a communist.

Once he does figure it out it would make sense for him to stop calling her Kambala. This sounds like a Latin dance step, perhaps a new version of the Rumba, an Afro-Cuban dance style. Considering Kamala' s heritage this would make sense.

As long as Trump calls her Kambala she can have dancers at her rallies introduce a new dance with that name. She could also ask some of her musician supporters to write and perform a song reminsicent of Chubby Checker's "Do the Twist" called "Do the Kambala."

The stressed out biggest brain is getting smaller. This is not a surpise. Trump is human, after all. By Hal Brown, MSW

It's possible, even likely, that Trump's brain has actually shrunk or atrophied due to his advancing age. This is a normal process. It doesn't necessarily meant that his ability to make rational decisions has been impaired.

It is also possible that his brain has shrunk due to early dementia. Whether or not this has happened the mental capacity of his brain cells, so to speak, to deal with stress shows many indications of having diminished.

That's all I have to say today....

Now that it's been reported that Trump calls Kamala the B-word in private, should she add another word and embrace it? By Hal Brown, MSW

I read about about this

Experts say Trump's vulgar insult for Harris 'not going to help him win more women voters' (RawStory)

I thought I'd pose a question about whether Kamala should turn this misogynistic insult back against Trump. I have no doubt Trump has used this and far more demeaning and crude terms to refer to women. After all, he's on tape bragging about what he can do to a woman's privates (using an objectifying word).

I know that the word b***h can be used as a pejorative by both men and women to insult someone. I also know that it can be a term of feminist empowerment, solidarity, and friendsship between women and gay men.

I thought I'd do a web search to find an article about this and was pleased to find this article which was published in The Spyglass, the student newspaper of Westridge High School of Girls in Pasadena, CA:

Opinion: The Powerful B*tch: How the “Curse Word” is Actually a Compliment

The author begins:

When I started high school, I lost count of the number of curse words I heard on a daily basis. I didn’t expect to hear “bitch” a lot, but I was surprised by the number of times that word casually came up in conversation. At Westridge, we focus on empowering young women, so I didn’t expect to hear the word as often as I did.

Through the years, the word “bitch” has evolved from a demeaning word that discredits women to a feminist term of endearment that unifies them. There are also different ways to use it. For example, bitchin’, as in doing amazing things, and to bitch, as in to complain. Feminists started to reappropriate “bitch” around the 1990s. Elizabeth Wurtzel wrote the book Bitch: In Praise of Difficult Womenin 1998. Lisa Jervis and Andi Zeisler founded Bitch magazine in 1996, and when asked why they chose that name, they explained how “it would be great to reclaim the word ‘bitch’ for strong, outspoken women, much the same way that ‘queer’ has been reclaimed by the gay community.”

I added another word that Kamala could use to preface the so-called "curse word."

Commerce being what it is I can see a t-shirt like the one shown above with the words "Kamala is a" included.

Kamala can turn this insult back against Trump if she incorporates referring to herself this way at a rally. On the other hand it is possible that just to ignore him will irritate him more. Trump thrives on attention and he gets a thrill by knowing his insults get to people. This could be playing into his hand even though his campaign spokesman said he never uses that word.

If Kamala does take ownership of the term it will make the news. I'd advise her to use it once and see if it becomes a meme.

If you can't taste the Democracy killing poison in Trump's Kool-Aid there's something wrong with you.
