Trump's storm troopers will look like clowns trying to intimidate protestors who are dressed as frogs, tacos, and unicorns

Thanks Trump, you just gave us a real gift for a change with your bloodthirsty lust to unleash your storm troopers on us and find an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act and declare a hot war on dissent.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said he could send the “Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines,” and “anybody I wanted” into U.S. cities, and would do so “if I thought it was necessary.” Earlier last week he told U.S. troops at a naval base near Tokyo that he was prepared to send “more than the National Guard” into U.S. cities if needed.

I think (and truly hope) that this will be an example of “suppose they gave a party and nobody came” or, more to the point, “suppose Trump gave a formal party and all the guests came dressed in silly costumes.”

By announcing this, those who want to protest will have even more incentive to wear weird costumes and lay bare the lie that they are violent. The goal would be make Trump and his bloodlust look idiotic.

You’ve seen lots of photos of protestors, like these…

… and those shown below at the Portland ICE building, which is just down the road from where I live. In effect, this is a kind of costume party, albeit kind of like wearing a party hat to have an abscessed tooth extracted by an incompetent dentist, as it is very, very serious and lots could go wrong.

Making sure that none of the anti-ICE and anti-Trump protests turn violent is as important as it gets. It is a reminder for those who don’t want to don costumes that they need to make 110% sure they don’t give some overzealous member of Trump’s Gestapo/SS, his psychopathic sadistic syncophantic supplicants a reason to claim self-defense or any other excuse to say protestors are violent.

I say “bring on the costumes!” Make any soldiers look like ridiculous clowns. More so, make Trump look like a clown trying to come across as fierce:

Trump thinks his bit of bullshit theater shaving Vince McMahan’s head made him look fierce:

What needs to happen, if Trump makes good on his threat to send soldiers into cities to put down protests he says are violent, is not only to make his storm trooper looks like clowns but to lay bare his lies and expose the truth that Trump himself is an idiotic clown trying to look tough.

No. 1 Trending on RawStory is about Portland

The story of how Oriana Korol, a protest-band clarinetist, got arrested, spent two nights in jail, and is now facing a felony charge for assaulting a federal officer might seem absurd if it weren’t so serious — and so emblematic of the ways in which the Trump administration is seeking to criminalize dissent.

The strange saga began on a rainy Sunday in mid-October in Portland, Oregon — where costumed demonstrators turned out in large numbers at the city’s ICE facility, south of downtown.
