It is impossible to figure out what was going on in his mind from where he went from there considering that he ended up talking about Lincoln and about getting shot himself and not knowing where the bullet came form.She destroyed the city of San Francisco, it’s — and I own a big building there — it’s no — I shouldn’t talk about this but that’s OK I don’t give a damn because this is what I’m doing. I should say it’s the finest city in the world — sell and get the hell out of there, right? But I can’t do that. I don’t care, you know? I lost billions of dollars, billions of dollars. You know, somebody said, ‘What do you think you lost?’ I said, ‘Probably two, three billion. That’s OK, I don’t care.’ They say, ‘You think you’d do it again?’ And that’s the least of it. Nobody. They always say, I don’t know if you know. Lincoln was horribly treated. Uh, Jefferson was pretty horribly. Andrew Jackson they say was the worst of all, that he was treated worse than any other president. I said, ‘Do that study again, because I think there’s nobody close to Trump.’ I even got shot! And who the hell knows where that came from, right?
Perhaps somewhere in his addled brain he thinks he was shot by John Wilkes Booth, who was at least a colorful character, and not the mentally ill nobody Thomas Mathew Crooks.

The issue of Trump having dementia and/or a manic psychosis is no joking matter, although it tempts me to crack wise, is an issue that must be covered by the maintream media. This especially includes the media where Trump supporters get their news and opinion.
If Trump ever debates Kamala Harris this will be one of the most viewed political TV events of all time. Trump knows this. So do his closest advisors. Whether these advisors have first hand knowledge that shows he has a mental condition like dementia, mania, or both it is possible they will try to dissuade him from debating because they don't think he can make it though 90 minutes and not go off on a demented discombobulated delusional digression.
If this happens, just like it did in his debate with Joe Biden showing impair mental acuity, that will become the story.
Even the in-the-tank for Trump post debate commentators on Fox News won't be able to completely gloss over this.
If Trump backs out of the debate it I take this as a sign that those who know how bad off he is mentally have managed to convince him to come up with a reason he can try to sell to his cult for not debating. Will they buy it? Of course they will. After all, they buy stupid gold colored sneakers and AI made images of Trump as a superhero.
If a Trump with a mental disorder becomes president the scenario is as horrific in it's own way as having a Trump with all his mental faculties intact as president. The clinically unimpaired Trump will want to be the authoritarian leader, the true dictator, he never managed to become in his first term and initiate Project 2025. If he is mildly impaired he'll still have people who can manipulate him and if he becomes manifestly and severely impaired he could be removed through the 25th Amendment and J.D. Vance would become acting president. Congress then would need a 2/3rds vote of both houses to remove him permanently. It's possible that Democrats would choose to have a demented Trump continue as president over a sane J.D. Vance.
We could end up with a 21st century version of Idi Amin as president.
