Meadows was afraid of getting yelled at by Trump. What is he, a demon from Hell?

By Hal Brown

I may be reacting to the above story because we are watching Warrior Nun (Rotten Tomatoes review). I was watching Morning Joewhere the panel was talking about Mark Meadows afraid I getting yelled at by Trump.

It made me think of the most deadly demons from Warrior Nun, pictured above and below. They are Tarasks. You defintely don't want a Tarask after you lest you get skewered through and though by of it's sharp claws and dragged unceremoniously to Hell.

Perhaps Trump is so intimidating that when Meadows is yelled at by him he sees a Tarask. Who knows, maybe he hallucinates another demon. There are plenty to go around.

In Warrior Nun Tarasks are interdimensional beings living in the other realm. They are gatekeepers in charge of retrieving fugitives and objects stolen from the realm. When they feel the energy coming from the Halo which is only possessed by the Warrier Nun. They have the ability to teleport on Earth for a short period of time, usually less than a minute. Their skeleton is entirely made of divinium (a divine metal making them mostly industructable). According to the OCS (the order of tactically trained nuns who fight demons) legend, they are considered as higher order demons coming from Hell. Reference

I can see Meadows being afraid to incur Trump's wrath out of fear he might fire him  but literally being afraid of him because he might yell at him suggest that the poor fragile fellow needs some therapy.

We've read about Trump yelling or railing about matters. For example:

'Bust some heads': Trump yelled at staff to clear Black Lives Matter ...

Then-President Donald Trump yelled at his staff to "bust some heads and make some arrests" to clear a park close to the White House of Black Lives Matter protesters on 22 June 2020...
Dec 4, 2021Late on Friday, the Daily Beast cited three anonymous sources as saying Trump had spent "an inordinate amount of the past few days privately railing against Meadows, the revelation in the memoir .

If you do a Google Image search for Trump yelling you get photos and links to articles like these.

You get the idea. Trump yells.

What gets to me is that so many people who work for him have been intimidated by his yelling at them.

He's not a demon.

He's not a yelling drill sergeant who scares the crap out of young recruits and is able to order some buck private to do fifty push-ups.

He's not the Queen of Hearts (although he may fancy himself to be the male version.

We know how much he admired the ruthless North Korean dictator Kim Jung-Un:

If Trump wasn't once president and now is probably going to be the GOP candidate again he'd just be some guy who has a major anger control problem and who, for all we know, could be diagnosed as having an intermittent explosive disorder.

Pious Pence's Indiana: State government's embrace of Christian music backfires big time and triggers battle of the bands.

Below: I superimposed the lettering from the Satanic Planet Facebook page (here) over the Indiana State Capital:

By Hal Brown, not a member of a Satanic or any church.

I came across this story on Raw Story + (subscription) with the clever title using the phrase "Hell's Bells" here.

Excerpt:

INDIANAPOLIS — Members of The Satanic Temple won’t be sacrificing animals or drinking blood inside Indiana’s capitol building on Sept. 28.

They are, however, bringing a band.

And this particular band should be plenty to outrage multitudes of Hoosiers in this deep-red state.

Lucien Greaves, co-founder of The Satanic Temple, said this week he has permission from the state and hasn’t heard about any obstacles to the performance of his band Satanic Planet — whose logo for the “Let Us Burn” tour features an upside down cross.

His group was recognized by the Internal Revenue Service in 2019 as a religion, at least for tax purposes..

Raw Story noted that Pence signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act in 2015. It gave extremely wide latitude for the practice of religion.

Excerpt:

So the building where devout Christian and former Vice President Mike Pence served as governor will also now become the venue for Satanic Planet.

For those who don't subscribe to Raw Story + this news was also covered by Religious News Service (here)

This explains (as indicated in the subtitle) how Christian musician Sean Feucht brought his God and Country concert to the Indiana Statehouse, Hoosier members of the Satanic Temple demanded access for a concert of their own.

The Christian musician has initiated a lawsuit saying the Satanic Temple engaged in trademark infringement with their logo:

Excerpts:
“Your use of the “Let Us Burn” and its corresponding logo is a violation and infringement of the Ministry’s duly registered trademarks, as “Let Us Burn” is a confusingly similar mark,” read the letter from Feucht’s lawyer.
If this ends up going to court I think it will be interesting to see whether the Satanic Temple can succeed in using both a religious liberty and a freedom of speech and expression defense. It could hinge on whether Greaves had exclusive rights to use the font for their lettering. He certainly can't have rights to a Christain cross in a circle.

I find this to be smart and cost effective marketing by Satanic Planet:

Music will be provided by Satanic Planet, the organization’s band. TST co-founder and spokesperson Lucien Greaves is the frontman for the band. Greaves said the event will bring the message of pluralism to counter Feucht’s self-proclaimed attempt to “hijack” state capitols.

“(Satanic Planet’s) purpose was to be a band like any other,” Greaves added, “However, after becoming aware of what Feucht was doing, we felt perfectly poised to assert” this message.

“We intend to play as many locations as Sean Feucht played, on the same terms that Feucht played them, to whatever extent our fundraising will allow,” Greaves said. They can’t sell tickets.

Whether or not you actually like their music (you can watch their many music videos here) you ought to appreciate their marketing ploy. For example, here's another article which building on the contrbversy stirred up by following the Christain musician's tour:

The Far-Right and the Riflemen (and Women)

By Hal Brown

This morning Raw Story published this article:

Far-right lawmaker wants to defund Fani Willis: 'I don't want to have to draw my rifle' Click to read.

This is the part of the story that led to the title and some mockery in the comments (my emphasis):

Moore said during a recent conversation with a fellow state senator they discussed “taking action right now because if we don't, our constituencies are gonna be fighting it in the streets.”

“Do you want a civil war? I don't want a civil war. I don't want to have to draw my rifle. I want to make this problem go away with my legislative means of doing so, and the first step to getting that done is defunding Fani Willis of any Georgia tax dollars."

This brought to mind the ABC TV western The Rifleman which aired between 1958 and 1963. Chuck Conners played the hero Lucas McCain. Some trivia: Sammy Davis Junior played Tip Corey,  a super fast, black gunman who killed the 5 men the law allowed to murder his father years ago, demands that deputy McCain symbolically throw his badge in the dirt in the episode Two Ounces of Tin (Reference).

The Rifleman was one of the first popular TV shows to feature a single parent raising a child.

Like any Western TV show or film, The Rifleman had plenty of villains and gunplay. But that isn’t what really made the show work. The driving force behind the show was the relationship between Lucas and his son.

Lucas was a widower raising his son all by himself. Each week, he attempted to deliver justice and do what he considered to be right but also set a great example for his son.

He may have been handy with a gun, but he only used it when it was absolutely necessary. He was kind, fair, and most importantly, not quick to action. Lucas provided the program’s moral center.

In the current TV landscape, a character like Lucas may seem ordinary or, to some, boring. But that undersells just how influential Connors’ work in the role was at the time. It was about more than the character or dialogue — it was about the simple fact that it was a father raising his son without a mother. Read more here

The Rifleman was the only TV western hero who eschewed a six-shooter and wasn't the fastest handgun draw in town. Instead Lucas McCain shot from the hip  firing his rifle 12 times in five seconds in the introduction to every show (watch video here) It was in fact akin to what can be done with modern AR-15 style assualt rifles only without the skill required as shown in this demonstration by an expert.

The rifle was a Winchester Model 1892 44.40 caliber

The AR style assault rifle which is favored by gun nuts, mass shooters, and far right zealots doesn't require the skill of a fictional TV hero to shoot with deadly consequences. Bozos Boebert and Greene pose and post pics of themselves with thse big black badboy blasters and AR-15 pins are worn by members of Congress to express their far-right bonafides.

Male or female, whether they are in pictures or wearing pins the AR-15 says to liberals "I'm more macho* than you." The message is that you should fear me because I'm a mighty monster and you're a minuscule mouse and I can mash you into mush.

It more than rhetoric coming form Trump and Trump wannabes portending violence if he ends up going to prison. These words are already leading some people to "draw" their AR-15 rifles. Chaucey DeVega writes in Salon today:

Over the weekend, for example, a white supremacist murdered three Black people in Florida. National security and other experts continue to warn that there are millions of Trump's followers and other members of the right wing who support and are potentially willing to engage in acts of terrorism and other violence – including a second coup attempt, civil war, or insurgency, to put Trump back in office. From: Don't look away: It's a mistake to ignore Donald Trump's interview with Tucker Carlson "The discussion normalized violence as a response to political disappointment"
Would it be that the heros of the MAGA GOP were truly as rightious as  they were in the early TV Western shows like The Rifleman. Instead they play at being righteous, but they are really saying they are holier then thou with the thou being everyone they think is twarting their agenda.

You can watch the first episode of The Rifleman, The Sharpshooter, here. In it Lucas (Chuck Connors) and Mark McCain (Johnny Crawford) finally find the ranch they have been looking for, but the ranch comes with a price, and Lucas may have to decide between the ranch and his son's life.

* The term macho has had a masculine connotation, however consider this book from 2003 which may have portended the likes of Boebtert and Greene
A remake of the cult classic tongue-in-cheek RPG. A new and exciting development in d20 Modern that is set to raise more interest than a certain well-known lingerie advert. Macho Women with Guns puts its scantily-clad and inordinately-proportioned heroines through situations tighter than a Baywatch swim suit, with machineguns in hand and grenades between their teeth. A light-hearted journey through a post-apocalyptic world where women call the shots and men cower to their will. Lavishly illustrated throughout, Macho Women with Guns features everything required in a great night of humorous guns, women, bombs, women, attitude, and more women. So slip on your thigh-high boots, pad your bra out with shotgun shells, and head into the new and terrifying world of Macho Women with Guns.
